Hertzler, Christian M.
April 30, 1833 - August 7, 1922

CHRISTIAN HERTZLER
Mechanicsburg, Aug. 9.— Christian Hertzler, a prominent retired farmer, died at his home in East Main street, on Monday night, aged 89 years, after a brief lllness. A native of Lancaster county, Mr. Hertzler came to Cumberland county at an early age. He lived the greater part of his life in Mon­roe township, and his later years in Mechanicsburg. He was a member of the Slate Hill Mennonlte Church.

Funeral services will be held in the Union Church tomorrow after­noon at 2 o'clock, with private bur­ial in the Eberly graveyard near town.

These five daughters and three sons survive: Mrs. Anna Shel­ley, Miss Ella Hertzler, Mrs. Charles Eberly, J. H. Hertzler, Martin Hertz­ler, all of Mechanicsburg; Mrs. H. B. Todd, Pittsburgh; Mrs. B. F. Senseman, Philadelphia; C. E. Hertzler, Irvin, Pa. There are two brothers and one sister; D. F. Hertz­ler, Culpepper, Va.; Jacob M. Hertzer, Mrs. John Myers, Mechanicsburg.
